One of my goals this year is to find hidden gems to visit with our family in Tampa bay for little to no cost!

We have found our first gem this year>>>

The downtown Tampa area which was honestly one of my most favorite spots to walk around as a family. I guess you could call me a Lady of simple pleasures, but walking around exploring downtown was relaxing and exciting!

The buildings are beautiful and my secret love for Architecture had been discovered by my family.

We also found the key to the city… we were going to take it but thought that would be rude so we left it for the next person…😉

The day before, we headed down the river walk and found a few little discoveries….

That’s right.. a water splash pad right along the river walk… those never disappoint us! (Also plenty of seating for parents)

The Cotanchobee Fort Brooke park too! Great place to stop and have a sandwich and of course devour the rest of our snacks!

Thanks Tampa bay riverwalk, you sure know how to show a great time!

There is also a map you can get for free when you arrive and many different statues of historical figures directly related to Tampa bay’s history along the walk to discuss with your kids- not going to lie my daughter was not interested but I tried lol 😂 we try again but next time but make it a scavenger hunt!!!

Well what can I say other than…..January went by like ice cream on a hot day!

My hubby had his birthday on the 17th where we had a nacho bar, it was a hit! He turned 28 🤣 just kidding 31… definitely 31 ( he was not excited to turn 30 so not sure if I should be telling you guys his real age)

Oh well too late 😛

And depending on the way you see things… I took no photos 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know right who does that— me, I do! I was busy enjoying it lol.

I have also finally found out how to make homemade salsa so that was exciting and it didn’t totally suck 🤣… in fact I gave some away as party gifts and people ate it 😁😎 and yes they are totally fine.

On another note – we are now beginning to prep for February aka ” Birthday month” for us.

My birthday is February 7th and Lily’s is the 14th. My birthday usually consist of me hiding that it’s my birthday 🎂 and getting excited for Lily’s.

Here’s a secret about me you may not have known, Valentine’s Day is honestly one of my favorite holidays… and no I’m not going to research it and yes I know it’s a holiday where people spend way to much money on junk 😂 but I love the idea of celebrating people you love! That’s my take on it. So I try to make it special. You guessed it, I already have my decorations up🥰. I’m the reason Walmart makes money in January on Valentine’s Day 🙌 .

I promise this coming month I’ll be better at taking pictures and videos.
